As we approach the Fall 2021 term, Schulich School of Business is introducing a new hybrid teaching and learning opportunity for Fall courses, and beyond. A reminder for those teaching and supporting hybrid courses this Fall, Schulich hosted a Town Hall on May 21 to discuss Schulich’s Fall 2021 term classes and return to campus planning. This session was recorded and posted below for those unable to attend.

Schulich Town Hall: Fall 2021 Planning: Video Recording | Chat Log | Recorded May 21, 2021. (York login required)

Please note, this Town Hall focused specifically on those teaching hybrid classes in the Fall. Additional Town Halls will be held for all faculty and staff to discuss the return to campus in general. Dates for these will be released in the next couple of weeks. For current information from York’s COVID response advisor, please see the May 19 Y-File Q&A with Parissa Safai.

Stay tuned for a new hybrid course design guide, provided by the CITE team, including several considerations and helpful resources as you gear up for teaching a hybrid course in upcoming terms. Familiarize yourself with the technologies and tools currently available within the physical classroom, and how they work together with the remote environment. Review visual examples and download course design worksheets specific to your course learning outcomes and related content. Consider this as an opportunity for experimentation. The Schulich CITE office remains very much at your disposal to assist and guide delivery of your courses and assessments.
