At Schulich, group assignments are used to provide students with an opportunity to hone their teamwork skills while learning from one another’s diverse experiences.
Canvas provides a rich feature set to support group assignments. Instructors can manually create groups, allow students to sign-up for their own groups or instruct Canvas to randomly create groups. Once groups are created, students are given a workspace within Canvas with communication and collaboration tools. Only one student from each group is required to submit a group assignment and instructor feedback is routed to all group members. Instructors can easily message all students in a particular group in Canvas.
