Accommodations for Students (Policies, Guidelines)
It is the responsibility of faculty members to be conversant with the policies and resources related to student accommodations.
Student Accessibility Services (SAS) provides academic accommodation and support to students with disabilities in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s Policy on accessible education for students with disabilities and York University Senate Policy on Academic Accommodation for Students with Disabilities.
Ensure you are familiar with the Senate Policy on accommodations for students with disabilities. The Faculty Resource Guide – Teaching Students with Disabilities, has been created to increase disability awareness among faculty members, teaching assistants, and staff at the University.
