The training outlined below has been designed to get new instructors up to speed on current guidance, policies, procedures and technology vital to their teaching success, and are a required part of the onboarding process.

Please complete the following three modules: 

  • New Faculty Orientation
  • Canvas LMS Training
  • Classroom A/V Technology Training

New Faculty Orientation

Mandatory

The New Faculty Orientation has been designed to get you up to speed quickly on policies, procedures and technology use, vital to your teaching success.

Next Orientation: 

August 14, 2024 (8:30am – 12:30pm)

This is a required component of the onboarding process.

Teaching at Schulich with Canvas LMS

Mandatory

This Canvas LMS training has been designed to provide essential basic and intermediate instruction on course delivery using the Canvas LMS.

Next Training: 

July 23, 2024 (10:30am – 12:00pm)
or
August 8, 2024 (1:00pm – 2:30pm)

This is a required component of the onboarding process.

Classroom A/V Technology Training

This hands-on training will give instructors (new and returning) a chance to review the in-person classroom set up and practice with using the classroom technology.

*Included as part of the New Faculty Orientation for those attending in-person – registration not required.

Teaching at Schulich Q&A Drop-in Sessions

The Office of Curriculum Innovation & Teaching Excellence (CITE) continues to host drop-in sessions for instructors and staff who have questions about our learning tools.

Ask an expert on the Canvas team your questions related to teaching and learning technologies, including questions that may arise from attending the ‘Teaching at Schulich with Canvas’ training sessions.

There are no pre-requisites to joining these drop-in sessions.
