It’s a challenge to bring active learning into the classroom, particularly in large classes. Polling allows instructors to capture and share student responses during or between lectures. Students can use their smartphones or laptops to participate. Instructors can choose whether or not to share the results with the class. Polls can be created using a Canvas Quiz.
I have used this tool in a few of my classes. It’s user-friendly and students find the the real-time feedback valuable for their learning process. It also provides a record of responses which can be used to evaluate student participation in your class.
